Tourism

  • 550,377 overnight to the Principality in 2012 against 526 254 in 2011
    • In 2012, 29% of overnight stays made up of business tourism
  • 14 hotels in the Principality with a total of 4,642 beds
    • Of these hotels, 4 are five-star and 4 are four-star
    • The four-star hotels comprise over 52% of the hotel beds in the Principality

 

Education

  • In 2013, the pass rate for the General Baccalaureate for pupils from educational establishments in the Principality was 95%, (229 candidates out of a total of 241 were successful). Of these, no less than 190, or almost 83% of successful candidates, passed with honours
  • 97,4% for the Technological Baccalaureates
  • The pass rate for pupils from the hotel section of the Lycée Technique et Hôtelier de Monte-Carlo (Monte-Carlo Technical and Hotel School) was 88% (16 of the 18 candidates passed). Three candidates received special mentions
