Deferment of social security contributions
In light of the health crisis, the Monaco Social Security Funds introduced a support measure for businesses in March 2020, allowing employers and self-employed workers in the Principality to defer and stagger their social security contribution payments on request. The measure covers Sickness, Accident and Maternity Insurance for the Self-Employed (CAMTI) and Independent Pensions Fund for the Self-Employed (CARTI) contributions, as well as Social Services Compensation Fund (CCSS), Independent Pensions Fund (CAR) and unemployment insurance contributions for employees.
With business gradually resuming, from 1 July 2020, only the following will be considered:
- Requests seeking to amend the terms and conditions of an existing payment agreement
- Requests relating to a complete inability to meet upcoming payment deadlines
Send an email to the Monaco Social Security Contributions Collection Office with full contact details, including the registration number of the self-employed worker and/or company.
Applicants will need to give a detailed description of the subject of their request and the nature of the difficulties they are experiencing, and to provide any supporting documentation that will enable an assessment to be made of the cash flow problems that prevent them from meeting their social security obligations.
An analysis will be carried out, a reply will be sent electronically as soon as possible.

Deferment of supplementary pension contributions (AG2R)
Agirc-Arrco and social welfare groups support companies and facilitate payment of supplementary pension contributions.
If your company is experiencing significant cash flow problems, you can defer all or part of your Agirc-Arrco supplementary pension contribution payments due on 25 April.
You can change the amount of your payment according to your needs.
The date for payment of these contributions can be deferred for up to three months. No late penalties will be applied. Information on the next steps will be published at a later date.
This measure applies to businesses who pay quarterly (for the first quarter) or monthly (for March).
Please remember that to ensure continuity in the operation of the social welfare system, it is essential that you submit your paper declaration according to the usual submission deadlines.
The option of deferring or staggering payment of contributions is available only to businesses who are currently experiencing difficulties. At a time when the health crisis is placing greater demands than ever on the health care system, the social welfare system and government action more generally, on-time payment of contributions by employers who are not experiencing difficulties is vital to funding national solidarity.
