Principle and conditions
Thanks to the secondment procedure, an employee, who comes to work in Monaco for a specific period on behalf of your company, will remain registered within the Italian social security system.
Companies, craftsperson or subcontractors who are not established in Monaco and wish to carry out work on public or private construction sites must first make a request permission for a worksite with the Business Development Agency.
PLEASE NOTE: In accordance with the Italy–Monaco Agreement on Social Security, only Italian nationals may be seconded.

You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt by email.

Obtaining and completing the INPS form
You must request an M/I/C1 or M/I/C2 form by contacting the INPS or visiting their website
This form should be given to your employee when they leave (the employee should retain the form).

Writing to the Employment Office
You will need to send a letter to the Employment Office including:
- The name and address of the host construction site or firm (for secondments to construction sites, please attach a copy of the works authorisation issued by the Business Development Agency)
- The exact dates of the secondment (beginning and end)
- The names of the seconded individuals (attach a copy of their identification documents to your request)
- Their qualifications
You will receive a response by post.

Collating the documents
You must provide the following details to the Employment Office:
- A copy of the works authorisation issued by the Business Development Agency, if required (applies only in the case of secondments to construction sites)
- Printed copies of the M/I/C1 or M/I/C2 form for each employee, duly completed and validated by the INPS
- A photocopy of the ID card of the employees on secondment (who will be of Italian nationality only), their qualifications, as well as their address during the period of the secondment

Submitting the application
You should send the application, by post only, to the Employment Office before the beginning of the secondment.
You will receive a response by post.
