Principe et conditions

An internship is a period of practical training as part of a study programme. It provides students with an opportunity to put into practice the theoretical knowledge taught in class, and allows them to gain genuine work experience.

For mandatory internships, an internship agreement is established, and the intern retains their status as a pupil or student throughout the training period. In accordance with the Circular Circular letter no. 07.03 of 26 February 2007 pertaining to internships in companies, published in the Journal de Monaco dated 16 March 2007, the Employment Office must be notified when a company is hosting an intern.

In the case of non-mandatory internships, the intern is considered to be an employee and the host company is subject to the regulations on recruiting employees: consult the procedure "How to recruit staff "

For further information, consult the factsheet: "Internships "

Details of the procedure for declaring an internship to the Employment Office can be found below.
