Principle and conditions

The TST (Medical and Land Transport) professional card enables the holder to drive ambulances on condition that he or she already holds a valid category B driving licence and is physically fit to drive.

The medical and land transport card is valid for five years, unless specified otherwise on the medical certificate of fitness to drive issued by the doctor consulted, who must be approved in the Principality of Monaco to conduct medical examinations for fitness to drive land motor vehicles.

Formulating the request

A request for renewal of a medical and land transport card must be sent to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office using the appropriate form, duly completed and signed.

The form may be:

Collating the document

A request for renewal of a medical and land transport card must be accompanied by the following documents:

  • A copy of a valid ID document (ID card or national passport accompanied by proof of address, or residence permit)
  • A recent coloured ID photo, on a light background, frontal view, bareheaded, of size 35x45, not scanned
  • A medical certificate issued within the past 3 months is required to obtain a driving licence in subcategories C1, C1E, D1, D1E and categories B adapted, BE, C, CE, D and DE or a medical and land transport card, issued by a doctor in the Principality of Monaco who is authorised to conduct medical examinations to determine fitness to drive a land Vehicle, in accordance with the model provided for that purpose
    This may be:
  • A copy of both sides of a valid driving licence of Category B
  • Copy of a professionnal card or work permit delivered by the Service of Employment
  • The payment, to be made by cash, cheque or postal order (clearable in Monaco or France), made out to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office and Visa or Mastercard bank cards only, in accordance with the current fee schedule

Submitting the application

You should submit the complete application without appointment the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office. A receipt for payment will be issued.

Collecting the medical and land transport card

The medical and land transport card, is available for 72 hours at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office reception desk on presentation of the payment receipt.

Renewing the medical and land transport card

On expiry, the medical and land transport card may be renewed, on request to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office, by presenting the same documents as for the initial application and under the same conditions.
